ABOUT MALTA - PLACES OF INTEREST
PLACES OF INTEREST AND HISTORICAL SITES Among the many places Places of Interest worth a visit, are Dingli Cliffs, Laferla Cross, limits of Siggiewi, Wied iz-Zurrieq, Buskett forest, limits of Rabat, San Anton Gardens and the President's Palace in Attard, Tal-Maqluba, limits of Qrendi, the Rotunda Church, in Mosta, Marsaxlokk fishing village, Ghar Dalam and Ghar Hasan's Caves, in Malta, and Inland Sea, (Dwejra) in Gozo, and Historical sites to began with the Neolithic Temples of Hagar Qim, Mnajdra, Skorba, Tal-Hagrat, Hal-Saflieni, the Hypogium, in Paola, the Punic Tombs in Bingemma, St Paul's and St Agatha's Catacombs in Rabat, Valletta, with its large number of Palaces and Auberges, built by the Knights of St'John, the old Capital City of Mdina, a true unique gem with its very rich Palaces, that used to be owned by rich Noble Man in mediaeval Times, The Roman Villa in Rabat, the three fortified Cities of Cospicua, Vittoriosa, and Senglea, the Roman Baths, limits of Mgarr, the ruined fort of Selmun, the very large amount of Chapels, that can be found in all Towns and Villages, most of them with a Legend to tell, some dating back, as far as the first millenium, the fortified towers around the coastline, built by the Knights of St' John, to safeguard the Islands from the Pirates, all in Malta, and the Ggantija, Cittadella and Calypso's Cave in Gozo.
